Classes

Wayne County Public Library in partnership with The Arts Council of Wayne County are offering this series of professionally-taught, instructional workshops to the 55+ community:

Program 6: From Memory to Memoir

This course will review the nature of memoir and the elements of narrative writing as participants begin to organize and preserve their memories to create memoirs. Each of the first seven sessions will include time for writing as participants reflect on the people, the places, and the events of their lives. The eighth session will be a celebration of progress toward the development of their memoirs. Whether one’s memoir is for publication, for a family gift, or for personal satisfaction, this short course should open participants’ minds to their own wealth of memories and to their own potential as memoir writers.
