Needlework Programs

The Wayne County Public Libraries offer a wide variety of needle crafting programs.  Feel free to register for any or all of the following:

Goldsboro Library:

  • Why Knot? Knit and Crochet Group

    June 15th and July 20th at 2:30 pm
    Do you enjoy knitting and crochet? Join like minded enthusiasts once a month to knit or crochet and share tips, tricks and resources. Bring your own materials.  Call 919-735-1824 ext. 5100 for more information.

  • Goldsboro Cross Stitchers

    June 16th and July 21st at 4:30 pm
    Come be a part of the Goldsboro Cross Stitchers! Connect with others who enjoy the art of cross stitch and learn helpful tips and tricks! Call 919-735-1825 ext 5100 for more information.

Northern Wayne Library:

  • Northern Wayne Stitchers

    June 2nd & 16th at 10:00 am
    The program is designed to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where participants can focus on honing their craft while receiving the support they need to challenge themselves creatively. It’s an ideal opportunity for experienced stitchers to elevate their work, troubleshoot projects, and continue growing as artisans. Registration is required. Call 919-705-1892 to register

Steele Memorial Library:

  • Open Makerspace Hours

    Every Wednesday from 10:00 am-1:00 pm; and
    Every Friday from 1:00-4:00 pm
    Bring your own supplies and use our makerspace tools – Cricut, sewing, knitting, crochet – on our big craft tables.

  • Steele Stitchers

    July 7th at 3:00 pm
    Come join our cross-stitching group!  Newbies and experienced stitchers are welcome!  Drop in for a bit or stay for a while.  Please call 919-299-8101 ext. 5351 to register.
