- Tutor.com is an online tutoring program available to K-12 students for free through the Library. With your library card, you can connect with expert tutors from 3:00-10:00 pm, 7 days a week. Tutors can help you finish your homework, study for your next test or help with essay writing.
- NCLive – This rich resource includes thousands of full-text articles, electronic books, downloadable audiobooks, and specialized databases covering topics such as history and genealogy, business and investing, education and psychology, health and medicine, and literature and art. It also includes a collection of reference books covering a wide range of subject areas.
- NCPedia – an online encyclopedia about North Carolina, containing information about the state, its history, people, government, and educational institutions.
- SIRS Discoverer – Includes articles, primary sources, websites and graphics on almost any subject.
- SIRS Issues Researcher – Explore the pros and cons of current issues. Browse through lists in subjects such as business, ethics, health, technology, school, world culture and politics, civil rights and liberties, and crime and punishment.
- CQ Researcher – offers well-researched reports on a variety of topics including health, the environment, education, health, social trends, and technology. Each report gives an in-depth look at an issue, providing background, assessment of the current situation, pro/con viewpoints, and charts/graphs/tables.
- Ebook Central Academic & Public Library Complete – ebooks from a wide variety of subject areas and for all age levels.
- ProQuest Central – General reference database for over 175 subjects from magazines, journals and newspapers, including peer-reviewed and scholarly works.
- Goldsboro News-Argus – Search full-text articles on local news, issues, events, people and more from current and archived issues of Goldsboro News-Argus.
- Ben’s Guide to the U.S. Government, a service of the Government Publishing Office (GPO), is designed to inform students, parents, and educators about the Federal Government, which issues the publications and information products disseminated by the GPO’s Federal Depository Library Program.
- Khan Academy Kids – is the free app version of the Khan Academy website. The program offers educational games and activities for children ages 2-7. There are no adds, and no subscription is necessary.
