Did you know that Goldsboro is the home to the second synagogue built in the state of North Carolina? Dr. Leonard Rogoff’s talk will tell the rich history of the Jewish Community in Wayne County. Dr. Rogoff is the historian of the Jewish Heritage Foundation of North Carolina. He is the author of Down Home: Jewish Life in North Carolina and Gertrude Weil: Jewish Progressive in the New South, as well as many other publications on the history of the Jewish South.
