Session I: 4:00 PM
Session II: 6:30 PM
On September 16th, our Local History Department will be hosting a two-part genealogy lecture that addresses our two most common research questions in local history: “How do I research African-American ancestors before 1870?” and “How do I research women in my family tree?”
This two-part talk by professional genealogist, Diane Richard, will answer these questions and give you strategies for moving forward with your family history research. One session will focus on resources and strategies for researching African-American ancestors before 1870 and one session will focus on resources and strategies for researching women in your family tree. The Local History department will also provide information on library resources that can assist you in your search.
