Instructor Deborah Balance, originally from Connecticut, relocated to North Carolina in 1990. “Since I can remember, I’ve always immersed myself in the world of art and creativity. I took a formal art class at Wilson Community College, and I’ve had the joy of teaching children how to paint in acrylics over the years. Just under two years ago, I discovered the art of quilling, and it has since become my passion. My hands have always been busy with different arts and crafts, and I’ve enjoyed exploring new techniques throughout my life.”
