Local Author Day Event: Authors and readers together for a celebration of literacy.

Are you a published writer or poet?
Do you live in Wayne County?
Would you like to share your book with Wayne County?

The 2024 Local Author Day event has passed, but look for it next spring!

Once a year in the spring, the Wayne County Public Library holds a Local Author Day in which authors from around the area get together in the Gertrude Weil Auditorium.  The authors have a chance to talk about, and sell their books.  It’s a lot of fun!

This is the only event we hold for local authors, so don’t miss your chance.  Check back in late March or early April for the date of the 2025 Local Author Day.  To be included in this event, please fill out this application.  Once it has been received, staff will review it and contact you to follow up at a later date.  If you have any questions, please contact Susan Masuda (email or call 919-735-1824 ext 5101.)

This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Library. Ten percent of all proceeds from anything sold during the Local Author Day must be contributed to the Friends of the Wayne County Public Library. Payment is due at the end of the event in either cash or check made payable to the Friends of the Library.
