Wayne County Reads is a one book, one-community project started in Wayne County, N.C. in 2004. In addition to discussing each book’s literary merits, WCR provides free public programs such as lectures, exhibits, performances, films, discussions, demonstrations, contests and festivals that explore the themes and issues in the books.
This year’s selection is Kindness and Wonder by Gavin Edwards.
Kindness and Wonder pays tribute to Fred Rogers, a man who embodied the best of humanity, and the beautiful neighborhood he created.
The book can be borrowed from the Wayne County Public Library. (Check status of the book.) Digital copies of both print and audio formats can be downloaded through Libby. (Please note that you will need to log in with your WCPL library card when using Libby.)
