In 1900, the Borden Manufacturing Company formed when the new board of directors elected Frank Kornegay Borden as president. His brother, Edwin Brownrigg Borden, became secretary, and K.J. Davis was elected general manager. An experienced textile man, Davis came from the Cannon Mills Company, located in the piedmont of North Carolina. Through four generations, the Borden family managed company operations, but it was the commitment and work ethic of company employees that produced the cotton yarns, kept the company local, and made it viable for so many years. This program will document the memory of this local institution. No registration is necessary for this event. No registration is necessary to attend.
